PSYCHOSOCIAL INTERVENTIONS FOR BIPOLAR SPECTRUM DISORDER

This manual was developed by Behavioral Healthcare Incorporated (BHI) to assist clinicians in making an accurate diagnosis, conducting an in-depth assessment, and implementing best practices in the psychosocial treatment of adult consumers with a bipolar spectrum disorder. Experienced clinicians from the three community mental health centers, an MHC Board member, an expert consultant and BHI staff formed a think tank that carried out this project. A comprehensive review of the literature, information gathered from a national conference of leading researchers, meetings with consumer and family groups, chart reviews, and examination of BHI internal documents formed the basis for the material presented which was compiled over an 18-month period.
