If you are a person who receives Medicaid and lives in Adams, Arapahoe or Douglas
Counties,you are already member of BHI. BHI manages the mental health services for
persons with Medicaid who live in these areas.
As a member of BHI or their loved one, we think it is important for you to know
as much as possible about the mental health services that are available to you.
The better informed you are the more you can benefit from services.

The Office of
Consumer and Family Affairs
This is a special department within BHI.The Office of Consumer Affairs (OCFA)works to ensure consumers and
family members have a voice in the services and decisions of BHI, provides consumer
and family advocacy, and helps support consumer run services.Please click on the link

BHI Quality Improvement Program
Information about BHI’s internal Quality Assurance Program is available to consumers,
members, consumer advocates, advocacy organizations, providers and Department of
Health Care Policy and Financing and other stakeholders upon request and at no cost.
This information includes a description of BHI’s Quality Improvement Program, an annual
summary of the quality improvement program’s accomplishments over the last contract year,
and the quality activities planned during the current contract year,
as well as Best Practices Guidelines.
